Consignment Policy

No one enjoys disputes regarding payments. Not never, not ever. So, just to keep things nice and simple we have placed our consignment policy here for your review. Please note this policy is not all-inclusive, no policy ever is. However, most situations fall under this umbrella and we reserve the right to amend our policy from time to time. Check back here for any amendments. Also remember:

Consignment Rule 1. Our General Payment Policy applies to Consignment Placements.

Rule 1a. If there is something wrong with what we place, we will repair/replace it at our sole option.

2. Consignment Billing

Thank you for allowing us to place our work in your establishment. When we place the work we will give you a bill. This bill contains the item numbers and the pricing for each item (typically this is the retail price). The amount due KA Mimms Photographix is that pricing less the consignment fee.

3. Consignment Payments

Cash is good. Just don't mail it we will be happy to pick it up.
Check payments are accepted you may mail these but we will stop in at least once a month to check on our work so just hang on to it and save a stamp.
Credit Cards - We accept credit cards as well for a small fee on Consignment Payments. Essentially you pay the discount so add 3.5 percent back on. This is no fun but we are paying you a service fee that includes this and paying it twice is really distasteful.
PayPal ™ - We like them because the money is fast. We accept PayPal with no restrictions unless you pay with a credit card (see above).

Note: Our General Payment Policy applies to all payments, regardless of source.

4. Consignment Goods

Again we appreciate your allowing us to place products in your business. Sales of our products benefit our business and yours too. And from time to time things happen and items get damaged or "shop worn."

When the product is danged by a guest we expect the guest to buy the item. This is not always possible but we request that you ask them to pay for it. That way we both get paid and remain whole. If this is not possible then we ask that you notify us immediately and we will retrieve the item and replace it with something else.

In the event any item is not returned, we assume that it was sold and will seek payment of the retail price less, of course, the consignment fee.

5. Consignment Web Sites

We will place a link from our web site to your web site and ask that you do the same. We are working on link tracking so that we can pay you a fee if an item sells based on a click over from your site. However, we ask that the arrangement is reciprocal. If it is not, we will not make any payment for purchased made on click overs from your site.

6. Consignment Other Stuff

This policy covers most stuff but not all. Therefore like all our policies we reserve the right to amend it from time to time and invite you to review our policies regularly. When we change a specific policy we may send out a notice. However, please note policy changes take effect immediately.

7. Consignment Collections

Our suppliers love to get paid. In fact, prompt payments keep them in good humor and helping us make our customers happy. To keep them humored and happy we need your money. So if for whatever reason your money is a little funky we understand. So much so that we will call you and try to make arrangements for your to square up with us (that way we can stay square with them and them with you, it is a vicious circle).

However, if you don’t honor your payment arrangements/agreement then we have to do something, or our work will have no value. To wit, unpaid balances carry a two percent (2%) per month interest charge (that’s 24 percent a year). If the balance is not paid within 90 days or some other arrangements kept, bad things happen and other people get involved. We don’t like this and neither will you because nobody wins, except the other people and everyone feels bad (except the other people). So again, we like you and want to keep you as a good customer, so please, oh please don’t make us keep our word on this one either.
